Please review the following policies and procedures before engaging Peachtree Tax Solutions LLC for tax preparation, tax planning, consulting, or related services.
By providing your information to Peachtree Tax Solutions LLC for tax return preparation or other professional services, you agree to the applicable terms, policies, and procedures described on this page.
You are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely information necessary to prepare your tax return.
You should retain receipts, canceled checks, statements, mileage records, and other documentation supporting the income, deductions, credits, and other items reported on your return.
These records may be required if your return is later reviewed by the IRS or another taxing authority.
Tax preparation is based on the information you provide. Peachtree Tax Solutions does not audit or independently verify all information submitted.
I may request clarification or additional information when something appears incomplete, inconsistent, or requires further explanation.
Tax preparation services are not designed to detect fraud, misappropriation, or other irregularities.
I may review prior-year information, ask questions about missing items, and contact you when additional information appears necessary. However, you remain responsible for providing all information required to prepare a complete and accurate return.
If you choose to discontinue services after preparation or other professional work has begun, you remain responsible for fees associated with work already performed.
Preparation fees are not refundable simply because you later decide not to file a prepared return.
Fees are based on the information available when the engagement begins. If additional forms, schedules, states, business activities, research, bookkeeping work, or other complexity is discovered, the preparation fee may be adjusted accordingly.
When practical, I will discuss significant additional charges with you before completing work outside the expected scope.
The following explains the general process for preparing an individual or business tax return with Peachtree Tax Solutions.
Please submit the information requested for your return through the secure method provided to you.
Individual clients should generally provide all applicable tax documents received for the year, including W-2s, Forms 1099, Forms 1098, and other income or tax reporting documents.
New clients should also provide a copy of the prior-year tax return when available.
Business engagements may require financial statements, bookkeeping reports, prior-year returns, entity formation information, ownership information, asset information, and other records depending on the type and complexity of the business.
S corporations and partnerships should generally be prepared from complete and reconciled business records.
Returns are generally handled in the order that complete information is received.
Preparation times vary based on complexity, the completeness of your records, the time of year, and whether additional information or research is required.
During peak filing periods, preparation may take longer. An extension may be appropriate when there is not sufficient time to complete the return accurately before the filing deadline.
If additional information or clarification is required, you may receive a request identifying the outstanding items.
Please respond promptly and provide complete answers. Significant delays may affect completion time and may require additional review when work resumes.
When your return is ready, you will receive information regarding the tax result and any remaining preparation balance.
Concerns regarding the amount of your refund or tax due do not eliminate your responsibility for preparation fees.
You will have an opportunity to review the return and ask questions before authorizing filing.
Before filing, you will have an opportunity to review your return and ask questions about the results.
Please review names, Social Security Numbers, addresses, income, deductions, credits, banking information, and other information carefully.
Once you confirm the information is accurate and provide the required signatures, the return can be electronically filed with the appropriate taxing authorities.
Please submit complete tax information as early as possible. Submission close to a filing deadline does not guarantee that your return can be completed before that deadline.
If there is insufficient time to properly prepare the return, an extension may be recommended or required.
Email is generally the preferred method for routine tax preparation questions because it provides a written record and allows the information to be reviewed before responding.
During peak tax deadlines, phone and appointment availability may be limited.
Questions regarding your engagement can be sent to office@peachtreetaxsolutions.com .
I will make reasonable efforts to accommodate time-sensitive matters, but immediate or expedited completion cannot be guaranteed. Please provide as much advance notice as possible.
Filing an extension generally provides additional time to file a tax return.
It does not provide additional time to pay tax that is due.
If complete information is received too close to the filing deadline to allow adequate preparation and review, an extension may be filed when appropriate.
Additional work required to calculate an estimated tax liability for an extension may be billed separately.
Federal and state tax systems generally require taxpayers to pay tax as income is earned.
This is commonly accomplished through payroll withholding, estimated tax payments, or a combination of both.
Taxpayers whose withholding is insufficient, or who receive income that is not subject to withholding, may need to make estimated tax payments during the year.
Estimated tax requirements depend on your particular income, withholding, prior-year tax, and other circumstances.
If sufficient tax is not paid when required, additional tax, interest, or penalties may apply.
Tax rates, penalty amounts, interest rates, deadlines, and safe-harbor rules can change. Current rules applicable to your particular situation should be confirmed before relying on a specific calculation.
If you receive correspondence from the IRS or a state taxing authority regarding a return prepared by Peachtree Tax Solutions, please send a copy to me promptly.
Please avoid making assumptions about a notice or sending a response before the issue has been reviewed when you are requesting my assistance.
More extensive assistance, research, written responses, amended returns, or representation may require a separate engagement and additional fees.
Tax notices frequently contain response deadlines. Waiting to address a notice can reduce the options available to resolve the matter.
Audit and identity protection benefits available with qualifying tax returns are provided through a third-party membership program and are not insurance.
Benefits, eligibility requirements, limitations, exclusions, and reimbursement provisions are governed by the terms of the third-party program.
Protection may not apply to matters involving fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate information, client-provided errors or omissions, ignored or delayed notices, or other matters excluded under the applicable third-party program.
Limited reimbursement of up to $2,500 may be available for certain qualifying tax-preparation errors, subject to the applicable program terms, conditions, and limitations.
Peachtree Tax Solutions does not guarantee audit outcomes, refunds, or particular tax positions.
Peachtree Tax Solutions strives to prepare accurate and complete tax returns based on the information provided by each client.
Accuracy cannot be guaranteed when information supplied by the client is incomplete, inaccurate, or omitted.
You are responsible for providing complete and truthful information necessary for preparation of your return and for reviewing the completed return before authorizing filing.
